If I were going to need you
I'd know right where to go
You've been waiting your whole life
To find a love to grow

You planted the seeds very young
Writing your wishes on a list
Searching for that one tender heart
That would touch your soul in a kiss

You settled for one, then another
Thinking you could find it there
But all they offered were promises
And more pain than you could bear

Then I came as if from a dream
And made you believe in love again
I chased away the clouds of dark
And made you the happiest since, remember when?

I made your dreams so real
And gave you a love so true
That's the way it would happen
If I were going to need you

This is really beautiful my friend. Something different about your writing these days but as always it's wonderful.

A very good response to the challenge, Sven.
As though anything less would occur!
Tender thoughts, well written!

Trev.

hi sven,
I guess seeing as you have the same title as another poem, that this is a challenge poem.
And by the way, I thought it was delightful.
Simple and tender and oozing with romance.

Can't help but giggle. I find some very good stuff back here, Sven Pen.
