Crayons

The young child draws in his father's favourite book.
He knows it's his favourite and wishes he was.
He draws with his thick crayons purchased at Mott's
His interpretation of reality none other fathoms.
He loves his daddy, even after the spanking and lecture.
In time he will hate him.
Belittle him.
Ignore him.
Like him.
Love him.
Bury him.
Miss him.
Understand him, when he opens his favourite book
and finds thick, colored drawings of things he can't fathom.
