Trifles

The sun had sent a wake up call
It stood and grew upon my wall.
Its silent gesture spoke to me
It pantomimed a mystery.

An object of familiar drape
Yet not familiar is its shape.
I saw no presence in my sight
To make this shadow come to light.

Its entered through my window pane
And brought me out of sleeps refrain.
Its forced me from the warmth of bed
To look outside in curious stead

And there upon a tree limb hung
A wind tossed piece of paper dung.
It must have blown there in the night
And hung there till the mornings light.

An incident of trifles lair
Yet brought me into full declare.

I bet when you talk in your sleep...
you do it in rhyme and cadence..
I bet you even snore with melody ...
and hiccup in harmony...
nothing about this poems wisdome defines Trifles.

Funny how trifles can take on such importance, right, Sy? I guess the trick is in recognizing them for what they are......

Janet,
That's where I get my best stuff, in my sleep. *L*

Balladeer,
You got that right you just have to put them in their place.

Marge,
Love n' hugs back.
