“WEARING MY JAMMIES TO BED” My darlin’ just said to me, “Why are you wearing your jammies to bed?” My wonderful woman is giving me a headache, with what she just said! Oh darn, do I have to give her an answer, doesn’t she know, all she does to me is pester? “Honey” she said, “I want an answer to my question, and I would like you to give me an answer, please!” Oh my, my, my what am I going to do, I don’t want to deceive! I really don’t know what to tell her, if it’s not the right answer, tonight no adventure! “Aw darlin’, you’re making it tough on me, my jammies and I have been together, through every chill…” She then said to me, “One more time, no answer, no lovin’ tonight, Bill!” Aw shucks, still didn’t know what to say, I knew if I didn’t though, boy, would I really pay! So I spoke to my woman, as I took her in my arms, and I said, “I’ll answer your question, but it’s something I dread!” “If you like my answer, can we still do, uh, you know?” “Yes? Well my sugarplum, you have the coldest darn feet, and that’s why I wear, my jammies to bed!” Bill Charles |
