  Drifting Off In Dream

Tenderly she thinks of him,
She hears his laughter and she smiles.
Her heart is caressed by his words,
Tender, caring sentiments of love.

Memories dance and spin in her head,
With his voice she waltzs.
The room is aglow from candles soft flame,
Closing her eyes she whispers his name.

Sleep finds her now,
Carrying her to him in dream.
Upon wings of love they will soar,
Off to their secret place, their passions to explore.

Juls-You know that I love to see you happy and I am so very elated for you.  This shows your contentment, your heart, and your glow.....my sincere wishes for you as this grows and believe me it couldn't happen for a sweeter lady than one such as yourself.  This is definitely MY favorite of yours and will go in my library.  See you made it past all of my strict criteria...ROFL....I do believe that happiness brings out the best in your muse.   Hugs to you my friend.

Oh what a perfect dream this is, and a wonderful poem to boot.
I'm not really sure what it is tonight, but I've read a few poems that seem to "fit" right into what my thoughts have been lately, and this is one of them!
Superb Juls!

Wowie-Zowie!  Somebody had a little impact, methinks!  "She hears his laughter and she smiles."  That, to me, is one true indicator of love.  I know that I can be a bear, but if I hear her laugh... it gets me every time.
Wonderful poem Juls.  Made me smile!

Trev.

There are moments when, whatever the posture of the body,
the soul is on its knees.
