Brain Waves Ocean song plays, shell held to ear Solemn, fading reflections, Illusions in sand-flecked pyrite - Fool's gold poised for inspection. A mind swept clean by shore breaks Rolling in to erase the past tense Tangled lives in leviathan kelp, Saved up to savor, beach for rent. To only wish for what was before Or the gift to rush forward in time, Cannot control our direction Caught in gravitational rhyme. Strange, this shift in the currents, But reality is washed up these days, So pardon me if I don't seem to flow Or float upon these tidal waves. © 2000 Corinne Bailey [This message has been edited by Corinne (edited 09-19-2000).] |

Corinne, Time and tide wait for no woman. However the moon stopped when I read this lovely piece. Kethry "It is the image in the mind that links us to lost treasures; but it is the loss that shapes the image, gathers the flowers weaves the garland."- |
