I wrote this for my father

~LET ME BE FREE~

Why do you discourage my growth
and slowly pull off my delicate legs
to tear apart the dreams within my cocoon
so that I am destined to remain a moth
within the darkness of your closed hands
when all the world should be mine to explore?
Let me be free
as I was meant to be
that ever elusive butterfly
a rainbow of wonders across life's sky
and in my beautiful release shall I forgive you
but say goodbye
to the one who tried to clip my wings back

Melissa* I have told you before and it needs
to be said again...you amaze me with the
amount of depth that you are able to draw on
and write with...my hope is that in going
this deeply to write the healing you find
goes just as deeply...fly sweet girl fly...to the stars and don't look back!
((hugs)) for all the pain within the weave~

Fly free on the wings of your own destiny.  Do not wait for nor allow anyone to hold you back.  Your heart and your soul have that beauty that you seek and it shines within your words.  I for one see and pity the ones that don't.   Wonderful verse of release you have penned.

Wonderful my friend. . .

The strength lies within you. . . you're beginning to find it. . . keep going. . . you'll get there. . . and soon, you will be free. . .

Excellent. . .

Just keep taking one step at a time, soon enough you will be set free, and look back and cherish the moments now, that will be only memories long past.
