Waltz with the Moonlight Purple skies bring about the reveries of moonlight waltzes, ancient memories one - two - three, one - two - three in my dreams and in heart's eye it's your visage I see one - two - three, dip and sway dance on heaven's skies - two - three again in your arms one - two - three a moonlight waltz, sweet reverie and again in your arms I shall be one - two - three, step from star to star dipping, swaying, swirl - two - three to a Texan moonlight waltz or in a Viennese parlor - two - three to a winsome, lonely melody one - two - three, in this night's dance swirl - two - three is there a chance skip - two - three towards moonlight's beam and madness presses upon the waltz here lovers should not be false as clasp and kiss on dark side of moon bolder now, in your arms I shall swoon one - two - three, one - two - three step and sway take me now on the Danube so blue as I waltz away in hope with you as in the appointed hour we dream to waltz upon the night's moonbeam… ©Karilea Rilling Jungel 18 September, 2000 |

And what a lovely waltz it is...you paint a magical picture of love for us, I loved the "one-two-three" additions - what a unique and important touch! Take care, Melissa Honeybee The beauty of poetry gives my soul wings to fly free within dreams |

As the "Blue Danube" plays and the moonbeams cast their spell upon the stars of promise...may I say thank you for this dance? Beautiful penning my friend and I would say that it made the appointed hour so much sweeter. Bowing graciously as I depart this floor with the dreams of Glen Miller in tomorrows light. Karilea - may I have the next dance? Beautiful compostion here - I really like the waltz theme carried through in the one-two-three phrases. Is there anything better in dancing than dancing close? Not in my book. |

'Deer-two-three, thanks... BDC, always appreciate your comments... Melissa, uniqued in again! Thanks! Mark, you're certainly not old enough to remember Miller...then perhaps, you are... LJA, when I did a little research on this, I thought of you...and you'll never know why... thank you everyone! |

Yep, I am old enough to love his music no matter what my age is. I also happen to like Brittany so what is a cowboy to do with such diverse music taste? |

Fred and Ginger never danced like this Sunshine. . . and I bet that this dance goes on forever. . . Humming the greats (Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, and the like). . . and dancing through the rest of my day. . . Just wonderful. . . ----------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

Mark, that we should all go back to the "good old days" and dance the dance of true romance... Sven...yes, they did...didn't you see them up there, stepping from star to star...? Thank you my friend for your lovely comment... |

This is lyrical and lovely. I enjoyed the images, and the music that came to mind. Moonlight and I are old friends.. catalinamoon |

Karilea~ What a dance of elegance glides across the night With ease of sway you dance away waltzing 'neath the moonlight Oh, I just LOVE it when that happens ! With just a quick-flurried dip ... you cause me to quip ! This was simply stunning, my friend. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

After reading all the posts I don't know of anything I can add. Except that I agree with everone, it is a very beautiful poem. I would rather slow dance more than any other. Keep the music coming. |

Aaahhhh, now I understand why you asked if I was inspired by you Karilea ... I hadn't read this until just now! I feel like I've stepped on your toes with my clumsy left feet! Have you been joining Marge's spirit and visiting my home in the nights? This is absolutely beautiful, and dances with such grace through each line Karilea, truly a rhythmic and lovely flow throughout. Beautifully crafted! Best wishes, /Kit |

I hope you enjoy your time here, and get to know the poets and their abilities...this is an awesome place to be... Kit...we're getting to be such an entwined group, I would hope that my spirits soar with you and yours... thank you all... |
