(be careful what you believe of me - much of what I write is fantasy - grandiloquent inspired me to write this with 'her 'afterlust') I sat at my chair For the longest time After we hung up Looking at the screen Voice from downstairs Droning trivialities Not hearing Feeling the warmth of your voice Still in my ear Feeling your words, thoughts Flowing through my body It would have been too easy For you to welcome me Into a fantasy of romance Succumb to words of seduction I might utter As much as that might be It wouldn't be enough We still are learning Who is at the other end Who is in the skin That holds the voice That thrills And chills And I want to know And I will wait And we will learn And it will be that much better ~You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning. ~ Billy Wilder |

Bill--To fall for just the passion is the easy thing...but to include the knowing makes what is, rich...a person is wise to wait to my way of thinking....and you have captured that thinking and doubt and yearning in this well done poem |

Beautifully expressed Wilfred! The yearning of desired passions can be made sweeter when seasoned with time and knowledge. You've captured this wisdom brilliantly! ![]() Best wishes, /Kit |

Martie- A passion built on something much deeper - is much better than a thin friendship built on Passion Kit- A good word 'seasoned' - like firewood - burns that much hotter and more beautiful Thank you |
