Wounded Ship

Sail away wounded ship
With your ghosts of heartaches past
Make way old worn vessel
For "peace" I've found at last

I have filled your ocean full of tears
For far: far too many years
Now the waves are no longer crashing
And my heart no longer fears

Bellow your sails, with wicked winds
And rock straight into hell
Do not dock at any port
Let no other, hear your bell

Sail away wounded ship
Back from whence you came
Your tears will rain with thunder
For heartbreak is your name

Wow Tori
Sounds like a butterfly has
broken free from an
unneeded casing and emerged
into the sunlight at last
to test its wings in the
gentle winds....
Great read hope to see more...nona

A terrific plea, and a resounding rejoice - superb writing, Tori.  I enjoyed this poem very much.  I especially like the ending.  A terrific metaphor you've written.

Beautiful the way you have put this...
I know the beauty of finding peace after a heartbreak has mortally wounded a heart...time passes slowly and when peace arrives it is full of cleansing and purity....James
