The Freedom of Goodbye

I loved you once,
I love you still

But circumstances change
Just like people do

I don't harbor any ill feelings
I do want to see you happy

For you have shown me
Another form of love

And in that love
I can tell you goodbye

My tears are all cried
And you have found another

But I have found something more lasting-
The freedom of goodbye

This one isn't my best (it was one of those times when you just had to write something to get it out of your system)

~Saying Goodbye is tough...however you said it in such a peaceful way...This is a well written poem...I enjoyed greatly!!~

Amber you brought new meaning to the words goodbye! I love it! The "freedom of good-bye," it says soooooooo much!

Great job!! I absolutely love those last lines!

Serenity: Yes, I have been feeling very "healed" lately- didn't think there was a word for the way I felt but that ones as close as I've heard. THANKS!
