My Muse by Michael Auguste For thirty years my pen lay still A poet who had no words to share And then along came, Meadowmuse A friend I've come to know as, Claire She read the old poems that I had Encouraged me that I write more Saw something in them I could not I really felt my writing poor In April my first poem was born The wait of thirty years had past I finally had something to say The words had come to me at last How different was my writing style So much more depth was I to find The thirty years had so changed me Now green this meadow in my mind The broken hearted poems are gone My poetry now is that of hope I write of love and fantasy Of times in life I've had to cope Sweet Claire is always quick to praise To build such confidence in me I've let her know she is my muse Responsible for words you see Now eighty new poems have seen light And yet my pen's still filled with ink I still can't believe that I can write My writing done with did I think I'll call this poem my thank you note To this dear muse with long red hair For showing me I can still write For all her faith and being there Proust- "Love is space and time measured by the heart" |

Oh, this is so sweet...Claire is inspirational to me as well, her kind words of encouragement in replies and her always perfectly wonderous poetry to read, you are very lucky to have her as a muse, and she lucky to have you as a friend. |

this is a very sweet and gracious tribute to your muse... the exceptional poetess Lady Claire... so many times she has left me with such poet envy  she inspires us all with her grace of words and she makes me strive to be a better poet. As for you discovering poetry again ... I know the wonderful release and contentment that gift is... someone extraordinary gave me back my poets pen after years of it laying silent Heres my wish for continued inspiration for us all take care jm There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched.
