SEASONED FISHERMEN

Serenades of crickets in meadows of green
Sunset of amber embrace autumn leaf
Sights of firefly shadow the night
Splashing of lures in ripples of tide
Stiffness in fingers from nite of damp cold
Seasoned fishermen a passion to be told
Sewn in the heart a bond unfolds
Shared tales of many journeys ago
Strolling boat creeping to a halt
Seen at cliffside now two friends park
Saying their fond goodbyes
Same time same place take care friend of mine.

Coco

You have captured the seasoned fishman to a "T".  I have known a few that fishing comes first no matter what.  Nicely done.

Soon, soon, we'll be heading back down to Buras, La.  Or even better, Fort Jackson, where I watch everybody else stand in the grand ole Mississippi, while I drink all the beer and fetch nets....LOL...ooh, I wanna go now...thank you.
