Heather -

Give your new wings time to dry,
Your metamorphosis will complete.
You'll discover soon you can fly,
And the world will be at your feet.

The winds that once pinned you there,
And brought tears to your loving eyes,
You'll use to carry you anywhere
Your dreams have the courage to fly.

Look back upon those tears you cried,
If faith in yourself starts to wane.
You've become a beautiful butterfly,
From that chrysalis wrapped in pain.

You are going to be better than fine, Heather.  You're going to be great!

LJA~

Thanks for this poem, it was incredibly touching! I'm trying to be patient though, but it's tough! I am tired of being stuck on the ground....

*huge hugs*

Mark - Yeah, sometimes I even fool myself.  In this case, though, I knew what I was doing all along.  Heather is a terrific person through and through.  She's going to make it (and he never will), as the song goes.

My Lorelei - Your belief in me is what makes my heart grow.  ily

'Deer - I'm famous for my sensitivity.  Perhaps I can give you some pointers (heh heh).

Heather, sweet Heather - You will make it through today and tonight just fine.  Tomorrow has to wait for you to get done with today.  If you didn't have a heart capable of loving and giving, you wouldn't feel this pain.  It is a worthwhile exchange, I think.

SueB

While I wrote this poem for Heather, I think it applies to a lot of "beautiful butterfiles" in the Forums.  It is sorrowful that this is true.

LJ such a lovely, sensitive poem. Heather will be proud.

One would certainly be hard pressed to find a more kind, encouraging message poem. This is tenderness...
