~Once Upon A Dream~

Once upon a midnight hour,
silently I drifted off to dreams
and discovered there, that I was a butterfly
the most magnificent winged beauty ever to grace fields of emerald,
as the wind's breath carried me away through trees and leaves and clouds,
fluttering high towards the sun
it's copper rays call to me -
warmth emblazoned across my soul
as my heart rejoices "at last, I am free...at last!"
I soar on freedom's wings experiencing the marvels of life
as I am now the very essence of pure beauty -
a rainbow of brilliant hues across the sapphire sky
dancing in love, as one with doves and butterflies
now greeting the dawn
at peace evermore...
the moment time began...
suddenly to awake to the sound of loneliness
and there I lay
only myself - the moth
longing for slumber once more
for once upon a dream
I was a butterfly

A wonderful dream...

but please remember every one is a butterfly in his or her own right... feeling like a moth doesn't make one a moth... the days will pass... CHEER UP...

regards,
sudhir

You are indeed that butterfly. . . let your soul sing to those that wait. . . fly and find that for which you seek. . . you shall find. . .

Just beautiful my friend. . .

Thank you Sudhir, Sven and Mark for your support and kind replies    I think that everyone at least once in their life wishes to be a bird or a butterfly to fly free.

Take care,
Melissa Honeybee

Melissa a splendid poem, I could my spirit soaring higher with each line I read.

"I have penned epitaphs on snow, and written my legacy in dust." self quote.
