In A drive of blue asphalt,
beyond A finite dividing
white line,
is billowing waves,
clouds ascending, descending,
A mirage of Sea.
A delectable, the liquid, blood
widening veins, nourishing pure illusion,
the heart throbs, to a series of
beats on the far side of
one, two, and three.
Hands, with knuckles pale,
grip the wheel,
A foot slides smooth
The pedal greets,
creating speed.
Driving, driving, driving,
past bounded asphalt blue,
beyond white lines,
straight-away into
surging waves of clouds
rising, falling,
The Mirage of Sea.

In so very few places - do I feel as at home as behind the wheel- letting the car take me away- letting the road offer the vistas of romance adventure and mystery - - you may or may not have intended any of this - but this I felt - and I thank you - Welcome

too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve,
too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love,
time is eternity.
