Upon Further Reflection ~*Marge Tindal*~ Cheval of looking glass whose image do I see She moves aside I step inside within the past of me Newborn babe of long-ago skin wrapped this little heart within Cradled in arms of mother dearly father stood watching so sincerely Toddled through this life and time fast-forward to the land of rhyme Teenaged loves to carry her well into the days of sweet married dwell Unison of two hearts melding as one Holding and enfolding with God's love is begun Woman-child with daughter-child so sweetly and gently held Arms budding with love in gentle flowing swells The scene repeated with three sons in follow All the more reason to acknowledge the wallow of mother in love with life so newborn entrusted to the heart of motherhood adorned Past the heart peak of letting go little hands now hold hands of their own Knowing and growing with things they were taught returning again on every thought Gathering now the silver strands of well-loved memories in reflected hand The image in the mirror resembles me Move aside and let me through The memories are well-reflected I've many more days of living to do ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Marge~ Thank you for the stroll down memory lane my friend. It was beautiful!! Just remember, they will always take those lessons with them to pass on to future generations. I agree with you . . . you have many more days of living to do!! Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

DiDi~ I appreciate your peek at my reflection. Karilea~ You reflect a loving spirit, my friend. Denise~ AMEN ! Glad you enjoyed. LoneWolf~ If I leave nothing more than the reflection my grandmother taught me to look for each day, I will know that others see me for who I really am. Thank you, my friend. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Beautiful, reflective thoughts Marge ... this had a lovely flow and warm feel to it. So wonderful are the memories we garnish through life, and so fortunate that they continue to build. Very nicely penned Marg! Best wishes, /Kit |

Fatherhood -is quite different - a transitory thing by comparison - yet motherhood lingers - in ways no man fully understands - Go mama Rose - no one will rain on your parade ~S~ - I'm sure there's a lot of life in that reflection ~S~ ~Just as a sunbeam can't separate itself from the sun and a wave can't separate itself from the ocean; we can't separate ourselves from one another. We are all part of a vast sea of love one indivisible divine mind. ~ Marianne Williamson ~ wilfredyeats@hotmail.com |
