Were you first To reach out touch Or was it I? As if it mattered I think we both Approached the bed So tired All we thought about was sleep I recall us now With vivid intensity It seemed to me To be an incredibly slow build To a passion both wanted And neither felt at the start But I loved the way it grew The change in pace was Real, noticeable, audible And then Almost before we knew it We were over the top Savoring the crest Sliding down The delicious slope Kicking off covers Too hot for their warmth Side by side Fingers laced Eye to eye Still awake Smiling It was different As it often is But it was wonderful As it always is And I'm amazed. ~Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity. ~ Henry Van Dyke ~ [email protected] |

With the speed of Maradona, the steadfastness of Beckenbauer and the finesse of Pele, he pulls a hat trick, but tenderly and deliciously, the accomplished (poet) that he is, and it was amazing. Thank you for that lovely poem Liz |

WOW! Amazing use of words and form to explain how you were feeling. I really felt the passion, the build from nothingness to intense energy. Thank you. That was absolutely inspiring. |

Maradona, Won the World Cup (soccer) for Argentina with his lightening speed. He was indefensable Beckenbauer(sp?) One of the greatest or the greatest German players ever. Held the German defense through many World Cups. Pele, the greatest! All of which is totally irrelevant to your poem, which is amazing. And very beautiful Liz |
