In Your Poetic Mind

Evenings there upon the cliffs,
just at sunset, the pelicans play,
the ocean stirs the flow of waves
in darkness  running over wet soft earth
the soul can be heard,
sounds of sea swelling,
falling, breathing

rising up on it's haunt against
the mouth of the caves,
splitting the flowers against
the sea colliding with the mountain

gently arousing the flow for the
mountain, for the sea to chant your
name to the night sky

your aroma still lingers
when I stand there,
still on soft ground,
still lingers as the ocean mist
spreads you over the earth
spreads you over me,

I find peace again

in memory

greeneyes,

Welcome to Passions!!  This was a very good piece.  It is always good to remember . . . sometimes it is all we have left.

Looking forward to reading more of your work.

Since I first read your poetry - (how long ago was it?- seems days - could it be years?) you have improved so very much - this is perhaps the best - at least from my POV

Greeneyes,
Welcome to passions,
First of all let me say  that was a great, smooth, poem. I particularly liked

"the sea colliding with the mountain"

Be well

Hah!  Here I was going to go right to the beginning but I see JM covered the entire spectrum.  See what Wilfred wrote of your work there in his comment?  I wonder what he would be saying now?  Your words written like so few take on a life of their own, and transport the reader in mind and spirit.  To a beautiful, restful, and memory filled day dear Lauren, Happy Birthday!
