California! Yeah! Okay, I'm done now

Away, Alone

I wonder if there was a time
When I could really say
"I love you."
No thoughts about the before,
No thoughts about the later,
Just thinking about now,
The here.

What have you done to me?

I wonder what kind of life I've had
Just wondering what happened then.
I've pushed so many people away
And now I want them back again.
I want someone to tell me,
"It's going to be fine."
I want someone to hold me
Without pushing my heart further.

Where are you?

Away, you've been there all my life.
You've always been Away.
Why can't you be the one I love?
Instead of just Away.
I wish with all my heart you'd return.
I wish with all my soul you'd stay.

Please, just tell me...

Alone is what I am now.
Alone is what I ever will be.
You've taken Me.
Then you became Away.
Now I don't know who I am.
For Alone is the only one I know.

That's all I am now, just Alone...

I gave you my heart.
I didn't want it back again.
Instead you took my life apart
...flew me to heaven...
Then I came crashing down,
Less than what I was before.
For not only had I given you my heart,
When you became Away
You had taken it, too.

Why me?

Now I have no feeling.
Now I have no life.
My world crashed down before my eyes,
Destroyed Me,
And rebuilt... Alone...

Uh, hello?

Astraea,
I too was glad to see your name here today. . .

It's always "away" isn't it??  I've always wondered, how come it's never "here"?

Wonderful my friend. . . your heart shows. . . as it always does. . .

It is soo good to have you back, my friend!  This is deeply painful and exceptionally written.  You have such talent, but then again, you always have.
