I think I'm too far gone.

Reality fades away,
I feel as if I'm all alone.

The sun melts away the night,
gives birth to one more day.

I don't mean to sound morbid,
but I wish it would all end,
'cause to be honest I want
to go back to where it all began.

Take me home now.
I can't stay to see tommorrow.
I've got to get home some how.
Won't you take me, please?

The walls are closing in.
My anxiety is getting braver.

I can't seem to remember where I am,
I'm not completely sure where I've been.

I've got no clue where I am going.
I guess I have no way of knowing,
'cause yet again my empathy is growing.

I've got to get home.

I think we have all been in this place of
alone and desperation...I know it doesn't
always help to know that...your poem touched
the cords of my heart today...the pain was
felt deeply, one hope is that in writing you
find the healing touch within the opening of
your heart.  *Hugs* to you~

Effigy ... morbidity aside, this a wonderously structured piece ... the rhythm of:

I've got no clue where I am going.
I guess I have no way of knowing,
'cause yet again my empathy is growing.

I've got to get home.

is excellent ... keep writing ... your journey (and mine), have just begun ...

"The sun melts away the night,
gives birth to one more day."

Melts away the night...I really like that.

I enjoyed reading this, and I must concur with M.A. in that this is a wonderously structured piece!

'tis tough to get up again when it feels like all we have to look forward to is a downward spiral...
*sigh*
but just do it!
It gets easier after that..

Thanks I'm glad that you all enjoyed this. Don't worry too much I'm not depressed or anything now, this is a bit of an older poem.  I just reworked it.

This is a strong poem. I particularly liked my anxiety is getting bolder.
Glad to hear you are okay though.

Be well

Glad I added you to my library, I would hate to miss whatever comes next.

Effigy,
My colleagues and I concur , a very thought provoking piece ( of course I'm really not a Doctor and I don't have any colleagues ) but when it comes to personalities , I have quite a few of them and we are all in agreement...Well done

You know, the more of yours I read, the madder I get. How did we lose touch? There is so much amazing work on here that I've never seen. This one was beautiful, Wes. I applaud you.
