An apparition’s hollow knell tolls eerily in thought, swarming through the sable gowns softly encircling those still grasped by time. Mahogany splashed by tumbling saffron sun and adorned by tiger lilies Becomes now her passageway to meadows stretching through Forever’s hallowed reign. A body withered by disease now resting breathless, wrapped in waves of quiet dark, Holds no more promise for a spirit meant to climb to where the rainbows fly. A sorrowed ring of church bells drifts solemnly within and although the moments hold me entwined in mortal sinew I know that once the phantoms call and whisper in my blood that I will hold you...for always. *Krista Knutson* "Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart." -Confucious |

Krista, this dark, compelling combination of abstract and image seems to take the reader back in time, perhaps, into a heady but harrowing otherworld. Or maybe I'm just in a sinister mood. Loved the "goth" feel of this---sort of a misty, foggy, quality to it. Enjoyed this much. |
