It was a most exciting venture with Brian, who graciously agreed to write a poem with me... and added his brilliance so well, that my words actually started making sense... He is a great writer and a pleasure to be writing with...

I am quite sure that there will be more avenues that we could visit, Brian, my friend... and I hope that they will be soon...

---------
Talking Shadows...

Empty streets align themselves
along the foot paths shrouded in dark,
on a blacked-out eclipsed night.
Guilty pain weeps from the sidewalks
bleeding from yesterday's wounds
as memories come flooding back,
unwinding spirals of doubtful starts --
quizzing emotions at life's crossroads.

To love and with patient desire
from greatly distanced far-way existence;
Or to drain the dream down right now,
and scour the shadows alone wake only
to veins of ice and the silent howl?
There are no horizons that align us --
she is, of the wind, a storm of intense adulate
fading, in brief interludes, to a faint breeze.

I am to myself, her impact marks --
all skin and nerve thrown back
drowning and pulled under by her fires.
Yet with all our fears and naked faults
and barriers great and extending out,
we are of the same fountainhead --
lost children in renaissance paradise,
casting shadows where we bathe and yearn.

As the long walk thinks itself to an end,
the eclipsed moon, now, in her coming to view,
from crescent to full - her form in a change -
the fortnight of yesterdays seems to run away.
'Every bright day has a darkened night',
my new-formed shadow was in its suggest;
'and each eclipse is followed by the shine of hope',
I add as an afterthought, hinting a flash-bulb smile.

Sudhir~ and Brian~
Wasn't sure what you two talents would come up with, but knew it would be a full palette.

It is just that !

'There are no horizons that align us --
she is, of the wind, a storm of intense adulate
fading, in brief interludes, to a faint breeze.'

'we are of the same fountainhead --
lost children in renaissance paradise,
casting shadows where we bathe and yearn.'

Just the oozing talent of two minds.
Enjoyed ... hope there will be more.

delivery of poetry soon complete

Sudhir, (and Brian)
"casting shadows where we bathe and yearn"

Complex and requiring concentration, yet delightful and so well done.

I enjoyed it a lot.
Take care

Hi guys, I am using a very restrictive internet service,
also feeling a bit down at the moment, sorry I am
moaning here, but firstly thank you to Sudhir for
approaching me with the idea of working on a poem
together, in fact I curse myself that we did not do this
sooner and I am sure that this will be the first of many
team efforts, thank you my friend for honour and
privilage of working with such a fine poetic master.
secondly thank you to everyone who has read and
very generously commented on this poem, it
helped wipe away my blues. Thanks again to Sudhir,

Great work, brian and Sudhir--so much complex emotion but so easily woven by two pens into one compelling poem.  Bravo!
