The Tickle Monster by Michael Auguste The post office carries posters Towns live in fear that night will fall For under the veil of darkness The tickle monster might just call For years he's roamed both near and far He thrives on laughter, giggles too Please bolt your doors, turn out your lights Or else he might just tickle you Should you encounter him one night It's best to smile, he'll go away But if you don't, he'll make you laugh Better listen to what I say He'll tickle you until you scream He preys on faces that don't grin I'll even sometimes force a smile So that his tickle cannot win Too old we are for fairy tales I'm sure to you this poem a lie But just in case this monster's real I'll keep my smile, avoid a sigh |

I totally second your comment Midnitesun!   Today...I had to keep telling myself that Michael wouldn't want me to be sad, but to be happy for where he is now...for he is certainly without pain. I just find it hard to believe that I just can't pick up the phone anymore to hear his voice. I think that is the hardest part for me. Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I am feeling your pain.  |
