A True Story

The last time that we fought,
I had you down on your knees.
I refused to give in to you and
To your insistent pleas.

So you crawled ever closer,
But I pulled back instead.
I refused to satisfy you,
By listening to what you said.

You lifted up your hands,
You begged me to come near.
Your requests that I yield an inch,
Fell on my deafened ears.

I firmly retained my position,
I refused your every demand,
That I crawl out from under our bed,
And fight you like a man.

Ms deVine - Thank you for holding your fire.  Naturally, we must not let lil Lorelei see this poem, as she will want to set the record straight.

Heather - If this poem brought a smile to that beautiful face of yours, then my day is complete.  Hang in there, sweet lady.  Smiles are on the way... I can see them coming over the hill and they will be with you soon.

Hawk - I knew I could count on you to take a ringside seat - lol.

lil Sunny One - We men are so downtrodden by the women of the world *woeful eyes*  I'm glad you enjoyed.

Long John why you hiding
under the bed there
Lorelie don't want to fight
she only want to scare
if you never match her
how can you ever know
if you can ever scratch her
hide of coarse hippo

Long John--If we could just bottle your sense of humor, think what a smile of a world this would be...
