Dry

drought dry
tinderboxed growth
of lost dew
crackling

tinderboxed growth
of lost dew
crackling
foxfire cracking

of lost dew
crackling
foxfire cracking
nerve wracking

crackling
foxfire cracking
nerve wracking
tautly tensioned tinder

foxfire cracking
nerve wracking
tautly tensioned tinder
drought dry

Great poem...

I could see the layered waves of warm air one upon another... forming an illusion over the dry sands of a desert...

Sunshine, what an effective use of imagery. Each line emphasized your theme, and the repetitive arrangement served to convey an urgency to your reader. This is excellent writing, dear.

Karilea~
I've lived those drought spells.
They are fearsome ... care needs to always be taken.

A lovely write.

I'm e-mailing you something.
Love you~
