“BEING TOGETHER”

Did you ever want to dance,
with your lover, at his place?
While he held you tight
in a sensuous embrace?

Listening to the music, and
guitars strumming so smooth?
Melting into each other’s arms,
just wanting to be soothed?

Did you ever take a sip of wine,
gazing into his eyes?
Staring intently with a love,
that feels inside, like butterflies?

Did you ever crave,
his most passionate kiss?
And whispered sweet words,
of only tenderness?

Words being of joy,
perhaps sadness too?
But wanting to know for sure,
that he loves just you?

Did you ever want to lie together,
and touch, only as lovers do?
A kiss of lips, and intense romance,
but not knowing, if he’ll say adieu?

Did you ever know for sure,
that just one chance taken?
May be returned in kind,
with one heart broken?

But then again, there may be,
no broken hearts.
For you both might become,
two very close, sweethearts.

Words escape me when I read this beautiful work of yours......You write with a flow as smooth as a satin river cascading over velvet stones......
What more can I say?

That is why they call it
'the Present'!
