my faithful guitar ... (thought i'd join in with all the other players) |

my faithful guitar ... strings to strum, but alone they sing; songs of their silence 'til player to come. what patience must endure for wait's delay; a moment of inspiration -- catalyst of invention. a simple thing, to play on six strings; soothing harmonies bring octave's ring. chording progressions march rhythm's beat; singular notes scale new heights to reach. medicine of music, give me your cure; into bloodstream sink deep and pure. through finger's touch make life anew; stay the wait to hear joy's sweet song. consider a fleeting instance of time's infinity; a moment wasted and miss a hero's chance to save. my faithful guitar to rescue me when gone astray; bring me back with song to give, not take away. Looks like we have a guitar toting crowd here, and only those who have had one by their side can understand how attached you can get to an instrument that really takes you to another world. Thanks for posting this wonderful poem Liz |

Hi MA Miller... I never learned to play a guitar, but how 'bout if I bring along my synthesizer, and an amp and we can have a really great jam session!!! Loved this one!!! Today is a gift.... That is why they call it 'the Present'! |

thanks all for reading ... i've been playing since i was eight and the one thing that never lets me down is my guitar ... they've come and gone through the years, but all have been faithful to me ... if anyone's interested, i'm playing a 50's Reissue Fender Stratocaster and a Baldwin Virginian from the late 60's ... thanks again all you players ... |
