Swirl in light, Dancing on silver moonbeams, All the night, Then to fall, When the daylight breaks my dreams, Morning’s call. Be there still, On the shelf, counter, and floor, Still dancing, Now blending, In swirling gust from the door, On the sill. Will I dance when I’m the dust, Just a dream, Forgotten on the wind. Who remembers of the dust, On night’s beam, That might just be an old friend, That of late dances with dust. Gloom 2000 [This message has been edited by Professor Gloom (edited 08-31-2000).] |

Ashes to ashes Dust to a well-writ poem upon sash worn. Be not torn away by strong gust. (That means I like it .) ...chanson~ "Music, when soft voices die, Vibrates in the memory..." P.B. Shelley |

"Will I dance when I’m the dust, Just a dream, Forgotten on the wind." Professor, brilliantly posed inquiry, to my way of thinking. As always, I admire your examination of detail and form. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

First, my daughters recently became fascinated with the dust dancing in the sunlight of the kitchen window every morning... I plan to read this to them when they get home this afternoon. Second, "That might just be an old friend, That of late dances with dust." I may never vacuum or dust again!!! You really did a fantastic job here!! -jaimie Website: www.ladysixstring.com |

Thank you, Paula Finn I am pleased that my words could cause you to want to read more. Perhaps you should dust every now and again, just to give them some merriment. Thank You, ladysixstring, Although I wouldn't suggest all my poetry is for children, but if you strum softly in the background maybe the undertones won't be noticed. I must say my place gets dusty at times, then I write in them little rhymes, about my lost friends that have gone away. it's like them there again till cleaning day. Gloom |

lovely poem I watch the dust sometimes never tought about it being lost friends. "Those who will not learn to use this instrument well cannot be saved by an expanded alphabet; they will only afflict us with expanded gibberish" ~ |
