To a Lost Love The secret shared, the hand upon my cheek, The knowing glance, the mesmerizing smile, The touch that renders sturdy knees so weak, The honest charm, the wit, the lack of guile. The reassuring warmth of her embrace, The silent calm of walking hand in hand, The privilege of sharing in her grace, The joy in being sure she'll understand. The strength unselfish love alone bestows, The blessings friendship readily endows, The happiness this one she kisses knows, The peace that only loving her allows. She used these gifts my broken heart to mend, My world, my hope, my dream, my love, my friend. |

You've expressed with a simplistic brilliance the very attributes that I would find most appealing in another. This is a lovely piece of writing. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

David, a beautiful testimony to this love, and even though it has been lost that you still recall it with such beauty, it must have been a very special time for you both. Corinne |
