Love Needn't Die

I sit in silence as I think of you
Scent of lit candles permeate the air
Reaching to touch a memory or two

I feel your shadow caressing me there
Bringing on tears, raining colors of blue
Scent of lit candles permeate the air

Cloaked in my robe of desire for you
Missing your gentle, your soft words, I cry
Bringing on tears, raining colors of blue

That day when I lost you, love needn't die
Alone, my tomorrow, longing to feel
Missing your gentle, your soft words, I cry

A thief in the night, your breath, it did steal
Each morning, I miss the smile of your eyes
Alone, my tomorrow, longing to feel

Each whisper, in darkness, your softened sighs
I sit in silence, as I think of you
Each morning, I miss the smile of your eyes
Reaching to touch a memory or two

AW... so sad and heart-wrenching...

Maureen, your tears are drenching yourself... if your don't know how to swim, learn now and be quick about it... swim in your thoughts..... keep the memories, but come out of the wretchedness of the tear-stained circle... GET A GRIP...

okay, I have had my say... thanks for that...

and for sharing this heart-felt piece...

Take care,
sudhir

Deep, emotional and as painful to read as it must have been to write. Kethry gives MMoonchild a big ((HUG)).

Sudhir...you make me smile..I wrote this a while back as a challenge..yes  I either write very soft loving poetry or I write very deep tearful memories...neither of which is in the now, at any one particular time..is just my style I guess...and I guess I chose this today as I feel a little forlorn...and also wanted to post a terzanelle.

thank you for your words...I do know how to swim sort of..but my husband  was a lifeguard when we met..and I always assumed he would be there forever to keep me from drowning....
