I thought I knew what love was Until you touched my hand I thought I knew what it meant to commit Until you said my name When you came into my life I was lonely and so confused Hurting and mistrustful betrayed by broken promises You too were in pain not looking for more than a friend We listened, we talked, we shared our dreams And somewhere in the night our hearts decided And now I know. paula you have touched my heart with this one...oh how beautiful are your words of truth..especially " i thought i knew what love was until you touched my hand" let me tell u that when me and my love first touched eachother's hands...this feeling..this feeling so powerful and good and...it was such a feeling and as i read that line i just thought back to that night where we held hands...truly wonderful paula..thank you for letting me ramble LOL  "my love is my motivation my love is my inspiration perception of this poem is your interpretation" -- me |
