~* The Reality Is *~ by poetFemmeFatale The reality is you are there & I'm here and I'm probably saying too much - When I tell you I love you as my dearest friend and at night sometimes dream of your touch. The reality is that we may never meet and we may never walk hand in hand - But one thing is certain - you've altered my life & have helped me believe I can stand. You've reached out to me - your hand soft in mine yes, even across all the miles - You've allowed me to dream - gave me faith to be strong & you've dried all my tears with your smiles. Reminded me softly, who I truly was as I saw myself there in your eyes - Lost I had been & with no place to go frustrated and filled with demise. The reality is you have been there for me just as I've always been there for you - We lean on eachother, like sister & brother & feel as we're one - though we're two. Know that I so often dream of your kiss & I long just to hold you at night - And just as you do, I secretly wish that our lives could be close woven tight... To just breathe you in, kiss your neck, touch your hair To wish with you - on stars above - The reality is if I never hold you at least I have tasted true love. Forever I'll hold you, close to my heart we were born from the very same star - I'll cherish your laughter, your friendship & name And I'll always love all that you are... **Dedicated to my sanity - he knows who he is... |

You have penned more than truth with this...you have captured the power of the modern day world as it is.....whatever happened to the old ways of romance? There are a few that will make it a reality and to them I wish them peace in their hearts. You have really bitten deep today in this and I feel every word as if it had meaning to ones I know...(yes, included is I) but I know that the friendship is one of a lifetime. Beautiful verse and smiles knowing you have tasted the truth in love as well. |

I felt every word. My dear friend Gen. Two souls will cry and two souls will sing. The bliss is in the experience they bring. How wonderful friendship is and what a blessing it is that two people can share a connection so strong even over many miles. I just wanted to thank everyone for such warm, and understanding replies...This piece was very hard to write and share - it comes from a very secretive and personal "core" of my heart, written as an intimate expression of my soul for another. He is my sanity, and I'm so glad to see he stopped by to read this too. *sigh* Thank you for such a loving reply my love. My thoughts are with you always...oh and Brent - I do believe that star will lead us to eachother someday...thank you for such a beautiful thought - I do believe. I'm holding out with faith that that just might be a possibility someday. Who knows? With faith all things are possible in this lifetime... |
