My Precious Little Doll

Oh, what a miracle; it’s a little girl
Just like her mama; prettiest thing in the world
Head full of hair; dark brown and shiny
Sweetest smile; so beautiful and tiny

I’ve heard it’s great to become a “Granny”
It’s hard to explain; as the emotions are many
There are many feelings, feelings of joy and love
Such a remarkable being; sent from Heaven above.

When I hold you in my arms; the love is so strong
Remember “Granny” will never hurt you; she will never do you wrong
As you grow up in this world; keep God’s love in your heart
He will keep you safe and his love will never part.

Someday you’ll grow up; have a family of your own
A new life; in your very own home
Just call on “Granny”; I’m at your beckoned call
I’ll be there for you; my precious little doll.

i dont get to read much poetry on family..but im glad i did for this one..sweet and simple, to the point...i liked a lot

Lovely...I just went to my friend Tina's baby shower and she is going to have a beautiful baby girl about September 7.
I can't wait to see her baby girl...James
