I’ll Always Be Your Girl I had just turned fifteen, when introduced to you You were nineteen, really a youngster, too. You asked me for a date and I said “Okay” The very next night we headed out in your Chevrolet. That was the beginning and as the months passed by We fell in love, a love that would never die. We soon were married and had a boy and girl The cutest kids in the whole wide world. Thirteen years went by and we drifted apart We then divorced, both with broken hearts. God told me not to leave you as the good book read But, I did not listen to what the good Lord said. We are given one true love in life and mine was you Over the years I asked forgiveness for leaving you, it’s true. We went on with our lives and new partners we took Never to forget each other, you could see it in our looks. No one could ever compare… to my Rickey, it is true And to this very day, I still love you. You’ll always be in my thoughts, even though you’ve left this world And in my heart I’ll always, always be your girl. |
