I Want to Dance Kiss me with words of dreamy dare I am tied to this chair by my heart strings and when I sing the sound comes out in black ticking ache, the kind that bends over backwards in flowing silk and dances across the balcony where the moon tangles meaning and a warm hand becomes my life line and stars are made on wishes. How does the dew taste on the velvet curl of love, and the curve that gives grace to breathing in and out, where does it lay down its opening? Melting is such a fragile moment when heat touches wax candle lit am I and breezing with the flicker of breath that sweetens all this need for glow. I am danced and drenched and falling into the shadow that holds me not and I want to dance still across the sand that time leaks, I want to dance. |

Martie, Amazing images you have written here. Simply beautiful. Great writing. ![]() Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Martie~ Your phrases are so elegant .... I'm always caught up in picturing you - as you picture the moment. ![]() 'and when I sing the sound comes out in black ticking ache, the kind that bends over backwards in flowing silk and dances across the balcony' Oh, me too ! ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Martie-You never cease to amaze me. your imagery is so outstanding and the way you tie it all together with you diverse vocabulary is nothing short of superb. I can do no more than echo nearly everyone above and in particular jwesley: "How does the dew taste on the velvet curl of love, and the curve that gives grace to breathing in and out,'" these lines are so special - they take my breath away!!!! |
