Lean your head back baby, Just Let Go. |

Just Let Go Stop looking for love like shells in the sand. I'm reaching out baby, just take my hand. Walk into our tide, with me lie down. Feel the surf seep into your pretty white gown. Hot kisses search, tasting salt sweet skin. Let your lips and mind invite me in. Feel the rush of liquid caress your ebb to flow. Close your eyes as it feeds the need below. Let the pull of the waves wash our love to your shore. Touch the sky while hunger leads two bodies fed by need as our sea of yearning swells. Feel me fill you with my flow. Lean your head back baby, just let go. Leave that dress and come to your feet let the water wrap us in a satin sheet. Feel my hands in the fluid of our sea. Forget what momma taught you, get lost in me. Know the velvet slide as our bodies meet, hungry kisses burn me with your white-hot heat. I know the rush of need that pushes our pace as the sunset floods your upturned face. Let the pull of the waves wash our love to your shore. Touch the moon while hunger leads two bodies fed by need as our sea of yearning swells. Feel me fill you with my flow. Lean your head back baby, just let go. With our shudder releasing endings to the wave we kiss each other's souls, getting what we gave. Cause in this swim with feet still touching ground, love can form a sea that lifts without a sound.. Now hang your towel on the wall next to mine. Let's walk together cross that rocky line. When the walls scream and crush you from within come to the water's edge, baby, feel me on your skin. Let the pull of the waves wash our love to your shore. Touch my soul while hunger leads two bodies fed by need as our sea of yearning swells. Feel me fill you with my flow. Lean your head back baby, just let go. Lean your head back baby, let it go. Come with me baby, just let go. copyright Evan Drake 2000 |

You know this sounds like a song to me...swear there was a tune running through my brain as I read it! It was lovely "Life is like music; it must be composed by ear, feeling, and instinct, not by rule."~ Samuel Butler ~ |

Tess, I wrote it to music in my head...now if only I wrote music, huh? I'm glad you "heard" it too.... Gossamer...Yes, quite a nice evening at the beach. I'm glad you enjoyed the word tide... Thank you, ladies, Evan |

Butterflies... I love your colour and enthusiasm. Thank you reading and letting me know it appeals. *S* serenity, perhaps not a tidal wave, but not the kiddie pool either...laughing...if it loved you back, I actually accomplished something with it. Thank you both!! Evan |

JulieAnn, charmed by your reaction! Why I haven't been referred to as having done anything "awesome" in a while...laughing warmly here...you sparked my day! Thank you.. Janet Marie, I love knowing which lines I write appeal the most. Thank you very much for the warmth of your response. Take care, Evan With a long held breath given dark freedom, the single flame in sorrow's window flickers out. ~EWD~ |

Thank you, Sunshine...I think there's a tune in your name as well... "You are My Sunshine" is one of my 4 y/o's favourite songs... *S* With a long held breath given dark freedom, the single flame in sorrow's window flickers out. ~EWD~ |

What have I stumbled upon? THIS is is an exceptional display of "involving the reader". I was there. I think everyone who has read this was there. I always liked the beach, but I will definately recall this poem next time I am seaside. Thanks, EW, for this passionate piece. |
