I sit alone outside your door As a spider crawls across your floor No rhythm and no rhyme To the funny path he seems to find And I wondered if he knows His destiny is what I chose To let him crawl away and then To change my mind and step on him Please Note: No spiders were harmed or injured during the making of this poem. -jaimie www.ladysixstring.com |

I really don't think he/she (if there is gender in such a small species) knows that you allowed it to live. But I'm glad you did, my old grandad always said spiders were very important in the cycle of nature. They are such predators and keep the insect population in sync.
