IF MY PEN WERE MAGIC I was once told my pen must be magic, I assure you those words were wrong. For life today wouldn't seem so tragic If I could change it with a song. The first word I'd write would be Peace, That brotherly love be felt by all. All violence in the world would cease, As would fear in soft footfall. Hope would be the very next word, That all may hold a dream. One they could follow, self-assured, Ambitious eyes agleam. I'd probably write Faith after that, The evidence of things not seen. That none might question where we're at All truths holding serene. The last thing I would write about Would probably be Love . Not the kind you fall in or out, The kind you'll only find above. That all may know "magic" within, That all may laugh and smile. That the world stand in unison Every life seen as worthwhile. But words are mere words, I'm just a man, My pen will soon run dry. But to know Peace, Hope, Faith, Love - His plan There lies a magic that'll never die. Michael Anderson |

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! This is an excellent example of "Power in Poetry". I love the message here, in it's seperation from the tedious happenings in our day to day life. "PEACE" overall, "HOPE" overall, "FAITH" overall and mostly, "LOVE" of that whom is always above us. B E A U T I F U L!  |

Well I had this thought, and I see, medowmuse said it for me. Alright well I tried to add to that with a short poem, but it's not coming. It is what's from within Michael. LOL...PdV The last time I loaned my pen out it took 6 months to get it back - then it came back broken! Or was that my heart? you know I have a hard time separating the two.... Thanx U K and christies heart. Michael |
