What is Your Religion?

What is written in your soul?
What is in your tenet’s brew?
Religion need not be defined
But it is well defined in you

It rises with the morning sun
It is the do of your command
It beats in chambers of your heart
And dwells within the mind and hand

Every moment of the day
Is a reflection of your soul
It is a mirror to the self
It is a voice of spirit’s goal

Live your faith and live your love
And ask not why of life’s delight
Or of the pain or of the joy
Or of the darkness of the night

Give to others of yourself
And in their dark a candle burn
For faith is in the practiced word
And peace will then to you return

The truth appears in light of day
In flowers of your planted seed
No need to tell of your belief
Your faith is spoken in your deed

Very beautifully spoken, the last line is the clencher. Our lives are read more than the book.

Word of truth here Liz! DC Talk, a christian aritist group says it all...

The single most cause of atheism in the world today is...

People ackowledge Jesus with their lips,
And then walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle.

That is what an unbelieving world, simply finds unbelievable.

And the other will save your soul.

Elizabeth, my friend~

What inspiration you've penned with this one.
It is calm and serene ... and that's what our 'religion' does for us.

It matters not by what name
one may call their 'greater power'
... as long as they have one.

You are quite a lady.

I think this one is so profound....as long as you have something to believe in, that belief will guide you and keep you ever. What beautiful picture you paint with this one.

Love and hugs,
Lizzie
