The Why of Love Sometimes love comes unexpected To the one that it selected Taking unaware a heart that's thirsting to be loved Thriving on the spoken word Clinging to the songs it's heard The heart's entranced to follow in the wondrous path of love Drawn by his endearing voice Echoing the spirit's choice Waking every morning to the calling of his love Taken by his gentle charms Yielding to his waiting arms Holding on to all the splendid songs forever more How did life turn ever sweet Why now is my soul complete Is this a reward for all the emptiness before Where do all the answers lie Why does love so mystify Will my lips stay silent and not ask the why of love It is written in the wind It is known to only Him It was etched in time by one who knows the why of love Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 02-22-2000).] |

To question the gift of love is useless. Perhaps, it is a matter of having an open heart where love can enter, when before you closed it out. Lovely poem! |

I love the way this flows. Its excellent and charming. It is written in the wind It is known to only Him It was etched in time by one who knows the why of love This stanza says it all! |
