Can a mother boost about her daughter in here? My daughter presented a notebook to me filled with pictures she had drawn and poems she wrote. This one gripped my heart and made me cry. I don't know about you but as a parent I worry about my children's selfconfidence, to many things can hold them back if you lack it. Only One Of Me By: Allyssa There is only one of me, No one else is like me. Other girls are not like me, Not my mom or my cousins. I am not like no one else. I am happy who I am With only one of me. Not two of me just one. |

She sound like she has lots of selfconfidence, and wants to be her own person. How old was she when she wrote this. Parker |

I meant to tell her age... she had just turn 8yrs old when she wrote this. She is very much her own person. [This message has been edited by Shelley (edited 02-22-2000).] |

This poem is very sweet. Won't be long she will posting her poetry in Passions! Your very lucky to have a daughter that can express herself so well. I suspect she will not have a problem with self-confidence. Now, when is Mom going to write more poetry? See your e-mail! Danny |
