Who are we that marshal words as shepherds to a flock We pluck them from obscurity to use as building blocks Seeking order from chaotic ways we cement them into place With skill the seams blend art-fully leaving but a trace Rogue thoughts are tamed to serve our needs and lend our works a flair We command all that which we over-see , Earth , water , fire , and air As artisans we wield our tools to create what none have seen Constructs built of flowing lines whose spaces in between Contain a language none may speak much less hope to control The gaps we leave sub-conciously are windows to the soul We ply our craft with diligence weld words to paper steel The seams though slight often shed more light than our best works will reveal The paradox of poetry Inherent by design Though eloquent our words may be There's more between the lines With special thanks to all at Passions , Who without which this probably wouldn't have been written. Now this is just a wonderful, heartfelt tribute to our craft - it holds so much truth and is gracefully written - well done Moose! 'Writing sharpens life; life enriches writing' Sylvia Plath |

DrMoose~ You just keep getting better and better. Such profound wisdom in these words. I certainly enjoyed it. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

I am glad you all recieved this in the spirit that it was given For with-out all of your support the thread would then be riven And words would be as water over dams where leaks are sprung May all of you in poetry stay forever young Doc |

Doc, this is wonderful writing. I have always thought that in writing, like any art, what is not written, or negative space, is as important as what is. |

It's good to ponder why we do what we do now and then, isn't it? Nicely done! Corinne |
