PRIDE WAS LAST TO GO The first thing that I noticed That faded from our lives.. Was the glint of adoration Which once shone within your eyes. The second victim of our lives I watched approach with dread... Divergence of our interests... And a coldness in our bed. I watched our castle crumble Like the ones upon the beach. Each time we’d try to grasp a part We’d find it out of reach. I watched each magic moment As it withered and it died. I guess the last to disappear.. Was all my foolish pride. Pride which caused the downfall Pride which broke your heart- Pride which drove the wedges And made the teardrops start. Now that it’s all over- I just wanted you to know... Of all the things I loved and lost That pride was last to go. Visit My Home Page http://www.geocities.com/montcogunslinger/HomePage.html |

That durn pride is always gettin the way! Should be the first thing to go...hmmmn <*\\\>< There's only two ways you can go... One way you can save your riches, And the other will save your soul. Rich Mullins |

Pride always seems to work that way, doesn't it GS??? I loved this declaration of yours!!! Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |
