We stood and gazed in wonder At the breathtaking view from One Tree Hill The sky a mass of stepping stones Far above One Tree Hill. We held hands and ran together Down One Tree Hill Tall grasses almost up to the thigh On One Tree Hill. Time and space seemed to stand still On One Tree Hill We gazed until we had our fill At nature's masterpiece - One Tree Hill. The whispering winds caressed the grasses They sway to and fro on One Tree Hill Our hair danced with a life of it's own On One Tree Hill. We saw the cows feasting on luscious grass From One Tree Hill Calves drinking of their mothers On One Tree Hill. We could feel life's ancient rhythm's On One Tree Hill A moment in tme neither of us will forget On One Tree Hill. ********************************** There is a story behind this. There is this hill about 2 hours north of my home. For nearly 20 years I wanted to frolick and play on it, it always called to me when we passed it. Today I finally did stop and walk and run on the hill, enjoying it's beauty with my 4 year old son. A moment I hope neither of us will ever forget. May the world hug you today, With it's warmth and love. I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart, That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world, Wishing you well and wishing you love...... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Very Very nice. That one gave me good visuals. I loved it. It is an awesome feeling we get when we do something that our souls call us to do. |

Exactly Brent!! Thankyou. It was a dream fulfilled. Hey, your name gave me a fright!! I have a mate here in Brisbane Australia with the exact same name as you, had to check you facts to find out you weren't him. May the world hug you today, With it's warmth and love. I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart, That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world, Wishing you well and wishing you love...... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Thanks Everyone! Tracie I didn't know there was another Aussie on board!! Great news, we are so few are far between in Passions! There is indeed a hill with one tree on it. It is on private property, the fence was broken so we snuck in. It's only a small hill and probably has no name, so I named it that James. Yes Hoot I will always treasure my romp on my One Tree Hill, hope Dylan remembers it, of course I took photos!@! Thanks also Claire, Marge and Elizabeth May the world hug you today, With it's warmth and love. I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart, That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world, Wishing you well and wishing you love...... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

wow you know, Isis, the hill you named actually exists - in NZ!!! It caught my eye and I thought, wow another NZer in Passions, and your description is of exactly that hill here in Auckland. It's actually a volcano, called One Tree Hill, and there have been attempts by radical maori at hacking that tree down! I really liked your description of the sky, and got the feeling of freedom and excitement as you let loose with your son - definitely a special day to remember! |

Beautiful Isis. . . You know. . . I used to run and play down a hill back in my home town. . . I'll have to tell you about it sometime. . . You know what I like to do Isis? Just roll down the hill like a log. . . clothes and all!! You should try it sometime!! Wonderful words as always my kindred. . . --------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

We are so alike Sven!! Funny you should mention loving to roll down the hill like a log. I love doing that, but as a 32 year old I felt I should restrain myself. Besides, the grass was thigh high and there might have been snakes in there!! Another thing in common AMAZING (HUGS) May the world hug you today, With it's warmth and love. I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart, That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world, Wishing you well and wishing you love...... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

This brought me such feelings of freedom, of happiness.... my family's house was on a hill, and my brother and I used to "roll" down the sides of it, too....excellent poem, Isis. Bobbycat =^..^= ~~Blessed Be!~~ |
