-one- I miss you, yes, my heart, the most, I think, and you are still very much inside my head but my body has long since made absent the ache and refuses to be reminded of the gentleness of your touch your kisses so soft. but how I miss the brown of your deep eyes and how I could see into more than just today in your your laugh and your smile… but your hands, your hands my love will never be gone from me I can close my eyes and feel them still your hands loved me, even before you said so with your eyes -two- inside the red inside my head they overflow the tears and pour down my shirt filling the red until open the window I must or I will drown. fresh air bathes relief maybe in my missing you I just forgot to breathe. -three- you are gone and I am left to make some sense of it all by myself and so I put on knee pads and rubber gloves and meticulously (irrationally) wax the floors as if it will bring you back -four- and if I sleep instead of pacing with the stars as my company will I miss you any less? you are my quiet the still place in my soul, pace for pace step by step you softly numb my thoughts until the tired makes my feet stop and so I ask if I sleep instead will you be any less gone? Such powerful words that speak more than what is written on the page. The pain, the longing, the loss is so evident here. |

These are wonderful... I especially identify with the last three... I just lack your energy! LOL Yanno... if you run out of floors to wax, I have floors... dishes... yardwork.... even ovens to scrub! C'mon over!! LOL. |

I have an even better idea, you two continue writing and I'll keep reading and we'll employ someone to wax the floors, save our poor aging knees.. HUSG Ouvrir mon coeur et âme |

Aw c'mon, Corazon..... I need you! LOL. For RG's idea has one major flaw... we have no money to hire help! LOL. (Well, actually two major flaws. *EG* MY knees aren't aging like some bony British ones I could mention. *EG*) |

I'd much rather you use yours... no use in buying more... just bring your helpful self on over! *G* My plump knees and I will just watch your cleaning frenzy and enjoy the benefits! LOL. |

You have expressed so well, this feeling, and made it so real, that I know. I have had my days, not with waxing, but the vacuum cleaner. I like the way you write! |

"your hands loved me, even before you said so with your eyes"--So beautifully put! "maybe in my missing you I just forgot to breathe"--this one makes me melt. I must say the last part was my favorite. I love the image of the stars keeping you company as you pace the floors, missing your special someone. "and so I ask if I sleep instead will you be any less gone?" *Sigh* You sure know how to turn a phrase. It matters not how strait the gate; How charged with punishments the scroll; I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. --W.E. Henley |

WOW..........powerful words........nothing seems to make the person be "any less gone", eh? There aren't enough floors to wax in this world to make that happen. I look forward to reading more, Corazon. |

Everyone else has said it already, but - Simply beautiful - and such loss. 'Writing sharpens life; life enriches writing' Sylvia Plath |
