In a world that filled with loneliness Each man should have one friend. Who knows him, and accepts him- Exactly as he is. Who’ll stand right there beside him When the future looks so dim. That there’s no hope for tomorrow- But you still can count on him. And every man, one woman- Who can reach into his heart... Massage away the pain and stress Before the tear drops start. Who will love him and go with him Through the valleys deep and dark.. And support him on each venture On which he might embark. Oh, yes, one dog...to follow close- On the winding path of life... It seems these friends of man oft know Him better than his wife. A saddle horse, a mountain trail- A life beneath the sky.... Why! If a man had all of these... He’d probably never die. I found myself smiling at this one, Gunslinger...such simple needs you've expressed, yet for so many, the "perception" of need is far greater than the actual truth. Nicely written way of reminding one of the basics. Claire |

Well written and how true. A dog, horse and the open sky. What more could a man ask for Thank you for sharing this one Gunslinger. I found these wandering down the trail. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. And the begining of a new one. |
