Magic of Twilight I sat alone with upturned gaze Entranced by evening’s glowing rays Lingering on the hilltop’s height About to bid the world good-night As sun was slowly creeping down I tried to grasp the sinking crown A hush came o’er the twilight hour As earth held to it’s wondrous power The hills now hid the beaming face But night sent splendors in its place For while the sun sleeps in the west His moon-bride glows while he’s at rest Softly Moon sent by her lover Soaks the earth in whitened cover The twinkling stars begin to peep And silently put me to sleep Elizabeth Santos |

Oh, Elizabeth~ This is just lovely. May your spirit be kissed by rays of sun just before the day is done Then may glow of moonlit sky hold you in deep slumbers eye. Love ya, gal. ~*Marge* ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
