Just the beginning, or the end?

Is it possible,
to love you at first?
To feel all the flutters
of the butterflies curse?

To see you, and crumble,
to melt in your sight?
To miss you so intenslely
and shutter at night?

You strutted right in,
and sat next to me.
You held me so tightly,
I couldn't quite see.

I lost all my boldness,
and quite contently,
I started to fumble
you started to flee.

I thought if I let you,
you'd come back to me.
It happened so quickly,
it just couldn't be.

I lost the contentment
of having you there.
I know that the moments
were special we shared.

I'm letting you go now,
but I'm hoping you'll see,
that the moments we've shared,
are locked deep within me.

I was sitting with my favorite lady friend at lunch yesterday and I was thinking that I couldn't make her love me and she couldn't make me love her but I knew that it was happening to me and I wondered if it was happening to her. James

Ohhh, the feelings that fly in the beginning of a relationship!!! Wouldn't it be wonderful if those feelings could stay alive the rest of our lives?
