The petals they fall,
One by one,
Onto the tarnished ground.

The beauty, the smell,
The peacfulness they bring,
Are lost never to be found.

But don't get to close,
Cause hidden away are secrets,
Deep within.

You'll touch it,
Cherish it, love it,
Until it bites your unblemished skin.

Once upon a time, I smelled scent of a rose.
Twas caught in its wonder; twas caught in its throes.

Enjoyed your poem.
